New issue! Hot off the Keyboard!!

Published by admin under Intro's, Magazine

Our new issue is hot off the keyboard. I just love it when a plan comes together.

It’s such a great sense of accomplishment when a project is completed.

This new issue deals with addiction, goal setting, child abuse, rape and so much more. I am sure you will be encouraged and inspired by reading how these women and men have overcome adversity.

We all have been a step away from something. A drink away from being an alcoholic, a bed away from catching AIDS (if you had unprotected sex), a crime away from being in jail and a hit away from being an addict.

Make a moment and read the interview entitled, “My Disease of Addiction”, a candid and very honest interview with a recovering addict. She talks about prostituting herself, allowing drug dealers to use her home to package drugs and men that sell their bodies to other men for drugs. Read the full story in Breathe Again Magazine.

What would you do if you found out you were conceived by rape? Would you be angry, upset or depressed?

Read how one man dealt with the news.

Read these stories and so much more inside the new issue of Breathe Again Magazine

Read just a few of the excerpts below that can be found in our new issue!

Abuser:  I Don’t Really Want to Hurt my Child by Kathy Collard Miller

Marching over to my two-year-old daughter, I directed her into the bathroom. As I struggled to pull down the soaking pants, I felt a rush of frustration and a sense of failure.

“Darcy, you’re supposed to come in the bathroom and go in the potty chair. Why can’t you learn?” I continued to berate her. As I began spanking her with my hand, my tension and tiredness found an outlet. Spanking changed to hitting.

Darcy’s uncontrollable screaming brought me back to reason. Seeing the red blister on her bottom, I dropped to my knees.

The Missing Pieces to my Purpose:  Conceived by Rape by John Donelson

“I’m just trying to understand some things about myself”, I said. “Can you tell me a little about my father? What happened with him? How come you never talk about what happened?”

Earlier that evening I had been in our intercessory prayer. It was a good thing; because I even more prepared for what I would hear than I would have ever thought possible.

“Well”, I hear over the long-distance phone calls. As she clears her throat nervously, and speaks with a mixture of fear and faith, “When I was 15 years old”, she paused again, “I was raped. He doesn’t know about you, and has never laid eyes on you. I don’t know where he is, what he is, or if he even still exists”.

RECIPE For Life
1. Take a 10-30 minute walk every day. And while you walk, smile. It is the ultimate anti-depressant.
2. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day. Talk to God about what is going on in your life.

3. When you wake up in the morning complete the following statement, ‘My purpose is to__________ today. I am thankful for______________’ .

4. Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat less food that is manufactured in plants.
5. Drink green tea and plenty of water. Eat blueberries, wild Alaskan salmon, broccoli, almonds & walnuts.
6. Try to make at least three people smile each day.
7. Don’t waste your precious energy on gossip, energy vampires, issues of the past, negative thoughts or things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy in the positive, present moment.
8. Life isn’t fair, but it’s still good.
9. Never Stop Dreaming
10. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.
11.Don’t take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
12. You are not so important that you have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.
13. Make peace with your past so it won’t spoil the present.
14. Don’t compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
15. No one is in charge of your happiness except you.
16. Frame every so-called disaster with these words: ‘In five years, will this matter?’
17. Forgive everyone for everything.
18. What other people think of you is none of your business.
19. GOD heals everything - but you have to ask Him.
20. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.
21. Your job won’t take care of you when you are sick.Your friends will. Stay in touch!!!
22. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.
23. Each night before you go to bed complete the following statements: I am thankful for__________. Today I accomplished_________.
24. Remember that you are too blessed to be stressed.
25. When you are feeling down, start listing your many blessings. you’ll be smiling before you know it.
