Did I get your attention?

Good. You think no one knows what happens behind closed doors, I want you to think again. Who am I? There will be time for that in a minute but I want to share with you what I saw happen in your marriage from the beginning even until now. You walked down the aisle and said “I Do” knowing that you carried financial baggage into your marriage without discussing it with your spouse.

Oh sure, I know you thought you got away with until that one day. This day your husband came home early from work and discovered bill after bill that he had no knowledge of. That is when the argument started.

Husband to the wife: Where did these bills come from? You respond these are bills I had before we got married and I am still paying them off. Husband: Why didn’t you tell me? You respond I was afraid and thought I could clean them up after we were married. Husband: I cannot believe you did this. I can’t stand to look at you right now and storms out. There you sit left to wonder what is going to happen now. Several hours later your husband comes back and you work it out. Whew, you were saved this time.

Happy Birthday!

You may be saying, “Today is not my birthday”. Think about it, each day we get to see is a celebration. It’s a birthday celebration.

The Lord has allowed us all to see this day. For that, we should be thankful. Let’s not wait until a new year to celebrate. Let’s celebrate everyday.

This is a topic that is very near and dear to my heart. Why? Because it’s the real answer to any dilemma you may have concerning your business.

A very dear friend and I had a conversation just the other day about doing a business with passion - and - purpose. In that conversation we talked back and forth about what God says, you know — the scripture. God’s promises are very real - fleshly thoughts and doubt is what causes struggle and (dis)belief.

I personally believe that each and every one of us has a unique gift, a talent so to speak. It’s only when we ‘receive’ the abundant blessing [vision] God has bestowed upon us, that it will ever be a blessing to others.

One of the reasons I love consulting business owners is because it allows me to step back and let the Holy Spirit have HIS way. During those consultations we talk about our spiritual belief and where it resides within the word of God.

It’s Not Just About Belief

It’s really not just about believing the word of God, however it’s also about being a doer — and get this… Receiving the Word!

I’ll explain… one of the things I’ve always said is that, “I believe the word of God” but, I left out a very important part of that statement… did I receive it as well?

“But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name…” John 1:12

It’s not enough for us to just believe, we must also receive the word within our spirit, our heart and, within our minds — at that point He blesses us with the power to fulfill the (purposed) plan. That revelation right there is worthy of abundant praise and thanks to our Heavenly Father.
